‘Art Basel in Hong Kong’ comes back after 3 years

Asia's largest art market, Art Basel in Hong Kong, which was held as an online exhibition for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from March 23 to 25.

The organizers announced that 177 galleries from 32 countries will participate in this year's exhibition. A total of seven Korean galleries will participate in the main booth of Art Basel in Hong Kong: Arario Gallery, Hakgojae Gallery, PKM Gallery, Kukje Gallery, Chohyun Gallery, Lian Gallery, and Gallery Barton.

Wooson Gallery will participate in the 'Insight' sector prepared to introduce important artists in art history, and Gallery 2 and Jasonhaam will participate in the 'Discovery' sector prepared to introduce the works of emerging artists.

Among Korean galleries, Hakgojae and Arario Gallery will be participating in the 'Cabinet' sector, where opportunities are given to galleries participating in the main booth. Participating galleries will be provided with exhibition spaces for major artists within their booths.

Meanwhile, Art Basel Hong Kong has been called the largest art trading market in Asia with 80,000 visitors every year at the event before the outbreak of COVID-19, and the total sales reached about 1 trillion won in Korean currency.
