The booth of Johyun, one of Korea's leading galleries that opened at Basel Hong Kong 2023, was overflowing with spectators every day, with praise for the works on display.

At this art fair, Johyun Gallery displayed representative works of Park Seo-bo, Kim chong-hak, Jin Meyerson, Yoon Jong-sook, Bosco Sody, Kang-hoon Kang, and Kwang-ho Lee, as well as a special booth by Bae Lee.

Bae Lee's works include his early "Issu du feu" series and his latest "brushstroke" 8 pieces, which were sold out to museums in China and Taiwan. 

Park Seo-bo's 2007 work, Hanji Essay, and 2022 ceramic work were also sold with great response from the audience.

In addition, 20 watercolor works by Kim Chong-hak, a master of figurative art in Korea, were put into the hands of collectors in China, New York and Dubai.

An official from Johyun Gallery said, “It is very encouraging that the works of young Korean artists Kang Kang-hoon and Lee Kwang-ho, who are well known as hyper-realist artists, were also selected by museums in Istanbul and China.”
