(Seoul) Galerie Kornfeld from Germany is making a splash at Art Busan 2023, one of the largest art fairs in South Korea, by showcasing its fresh and artistic works at the BEXCO exhibition hall in Busan. This is the gallery's second appearance at the fair and their booth at B-17 is receiving an enthusiastic response from the audience.
During an interview conducted by Sayart.net on Saturday afternoon, Alfred Kornfeld, a representative from Galerie Kornfeld, expressed immense pride in their participation at Art Busan 2023. The interview took place at the gallery's booth where the artist TAMARA KVESITADZE was also present. Standing in front of her artwork, Kvesitadze commented, "You know, any direction and then everything will be moving mostly in this world, there is the feelings of the bodies anyway it's always the work of the mind the way we want to express.“
TAMARA KVESITADZE is an internationally renowned sculptor and painter who was born in Tbilisi, Georgia in 1968. Her creative expression emphasizes movement through kinetic sculptures, exploring the relationship between humans and the world, with a particular focus on the human body. Kvesitadze's interpretation of the body is fluid and enigmatic, resulting in dynamic works that often feature an intentionally unfinished aesthetic. Her art references classical sculptures while playfully merging the conscious and subconscious realms, bordering on the grotesque.
