Born in Busan in 1960, Yoon Subo developed a profound love for art from a tender age. As a child, he would sit on sidewalks, engrossed in drawing with tree branches, finding solace and camaraderie in the act of creation. Despite facing financial challenges that prevented formal art education, Yoon Subo refused to relinquish his dream. In his adulthood, he fearlessly pursued his passion for art, immersing himself in self-education to construct his unique artistic world.

During his formative years as an artist, Yoon Subo's studio was a humble basement near Gwangalli Beach in Busan. Inspired by the phenomenon of sunrise light diffusing like a prism before dawn, he crafted the essence of his art while sitting on the sandy beach. Since then, he has gained recognition through a diverse collection of works showcased in numerous exhibitions, each piece embodying his unwavering dedication to his craft.

Yoon Subo sees this current exhibition as a defining moment in his artistic journey, as he collaborates with Sohn Kyong-Lan, the esteemed curator and gallerist behind 'Khalifa gallery' in Korea. Embracing the challenges that may lie ahead, the artist's resolve to continue creating resonates through his latest showcase.

The opening ceremony took place on July 28th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Gallery visitors can experience the dreamlike beauty of Yoon Subo's paintings during the exhibition's opening hours, Wednesday to Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 2 pm to 7 pm, with Mondays and Tuesdays being closed.
