The movie “Avatar: The Way of Water” exceeded 3 million cumulative audiences as of the 20th, Korea time, the 7th day of its release.
Distributor The Walt Disney Company Korea said on Wednesday that "Avatar 2" had a cumulative total of 3,073,000 viewers.
This result is faster compared to the previous work, “Avatar,” which surpassed 3 million viewers on the 9th day of release.
Director James Cameron said, "Thank you very much," and Sigourney Weaver, who played Kiri, expressed her gratitude, saying, "Once again, I felt how much Korean fans love the Avatar series.“
Avatar 2, which moved the story background from the forest to the water, provides an underwater experience like scuba diving, unlike the previous work that gave the experience of flying in the sky. Because of this, in Korea, Avatar 2 is inhaling the people like a black hole with overwhelming attractions despite various storylines and long running time.
