XODIAC Reveals Plans for the Future and Role Models Ahead of Debut

A new boy group, XODIAC, has set its sights on becoming the next BTS, the global sensation that has taken the music world by storm. Comprised of nine members, including Jayyan from Indonesia, Sing from Hong Kong, and Leo from China, XODIAC made its debut with the release of their first song "Throw a Dice" and held a showcase at the Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul on April 25.

XODIAC is a new concept idol group, which changes its concept and color according to the album. The participating members also change depending on the album's concept, making it a unit type group. The group plans to showcase its various charms, such as the pop ballad genre that focuses on vocals and the R&B genre that showcases singing rap.

XODIAC has already made waves ahead of its debut, winning two awards at the largest social network service 'WEIBO Account Festival 2022' in Japan in December of last year, including the Most Potential New Male Group Award and Leader Lex's Fashion Rookie Award. The group also released a pre-debut song called "CALLING," which was filmed at Hong Kong Disneyland and gained attention for its English lyrics.

In a recent interview, XODIAC members shared their aspirations for the future and their role models. Lex, the leader of the group, expressed his desire to perform on music shows, while Gyu-min hoped to win the rookie award and perform at year-end awards ceremonies. Hyunsik also shared his goal of winning the rookie award and competing with seniors for first place on music shows.

When asked about their role models, the members mentioned BTS, Seventeen, Monsta X, and EXO's Baekhyun. Rex explained that BTS was their role model, while Dabin admired Seventeen's unit and color on stage. Wayne looked up to Monsta X for their power and stage control, and Sing had been watching BTS since he was young. Beomsu also mentioned BTS as his role model, while Hyunsik and Gyumin both cited Baekhyun as their inspiration.

XODIAC plans to promote its official debut song as well as a free song before releasing an album with a new unit and b-side songs. With its diverse and multinational members, XODIAC hopes to make a name for itself in the highly competitive K-pop industry and follow in the footsteps of its role models.
