South Korean girl group New Jeans has been named one of the top 10 artists on the Chinese music platform QQ Music's peak chart for the first quarter of this year, according to their agency Ador. The group is the only K-pop singer to make it onto this chart, with their hit song 'Ditto' also making a name for itself on the 'Top 10' song chart.
Ador proudly stated, "New Jeans entered two major categories on the QQ Music Peak Chart in less than a year after their debut." This recognition comes as no surprise, as New Jeans has been making waves in the global music scene. On Spotify's 'Global Weekly Top Songs' chart, their hit single 'OMG' ranked 48th and 'Ditto' ranked 110th, entering the charts for 16 and 18 consecutive weeks, respectively.
New Jeans, which debuted in August 2021, is composed of members Kyeong-ha, Ju-eun, Jae-eun, and Joo-won. Their fresh and catchy music, combined with their impressive dance skills and stunning visuals, have won over fans around the world. Their success on the Chinese and global music charts is a testament to the group's rising popularity and growing influence in the industry.
The K-pop industry has seen a surge in popularity worldwide in recent years, with many K-pop groups and solo artists making their mark in international music charts. New Jeans' achievement on the QQ Music Peak Chart and Spotify's Global Weekly Top Songs chart demonstrates the global reach of K-pop and its growing influence on the music industry.
