Member Expresses Regret for Personal Life Incident as Management Warns of Legal Action

As anticipation grows for the debut of K-pop sensation RIIZE, Seunghan, a member of the upcoming boy group, has issued an apology in response to a leaked photo that hinted at a previous relationship from before he rose to fame. The incident has ignited discussions among fans and prompted the group's management to take a firm stance.

The leaked image depicted Seunghan and a woman, identified as his ex-girlfriend, sharing an intimate moment on a bed. The disclosure of the photo elicited diverse reactions, with some fans expressing concern over the management of Seunghan's personal life.

On Wednesday, Seunghan took to the group's official Instagram account to address the situation. In his heartfelt apology, he expressed regret for the impact his actions had on fans and his fellow members. "I want to offer my sincere apology to all fans who have been supporting RIIZE," he stated. "I damaged my team and failed my members and staffers with my personal issue at this crucial moment when we are about to debut."

Acknowledging his delay in addressing the matter, Seunghan acknowledged his responsibility, stating, "My imprudence caused all of the problems. I spent much time reflecting on myself. From now on, I will put my team first and strive to become a more prudent person."

The management company overseeing RIIZE, SM Entertainment, swiftly responded to the incident, emphasizing the legal implications of sharing personal photos without authorization. "It is illegal to leak and distribute someone else's photo without authorization," the agency affirmed in a statement. "We will take legal measures against anyone who commits such an act … We will also manage and support RIIZE more closely so that it can concentrate on its musical activities."

The revelation comes as RIIZE is poised to make its debut as the first boy group from SM Entertainment in seven years, following the successful launch of NCT in 2016. Comprising members Shotaro, Sungchan, Eunseok, Seunghan, Sohee, Wonbin, and Anton, the septet is eagerly preparing to unveil their debut album, titled "Get a Guitar," on September 4.
