In a move set to reshape the K-pop fan experience, a total of 13 prominent groups and solo artists from SM Entertainment will make their debut on HYBE Corporation's Weverse platform, along with Weverse Live and Weverse Shop, starting on Tuesday, September 12. This significant transition includes beloved acts such as girl groups SNSD, Red Velvet, and aespa, as well as boy bands TVXQ!, Super Junior, SHINee, EXO, NCT 127, NCT Dream, Way V, Riize, and soloists Kangta and BoA.

The shift will see fan club memberships purchased on SM Entertainment's proprietary platform, Kwangya Club, automatically transferred to Weverse, according to the agency's announcement.

With this integration, fans and artists alike will enjoy enhanced communication opportunities through Weverse's official community service. Additionally, fans can tune in to livestreams via Weverse Live and access a wide range of official merchandise through Weverse Shop.

In response to changes in the K-pop industry landscape, artists from SM Entertainment have turned to YouTube and Instagram's livestreaming features since the closure of the VLIVE idol streaming platform in 2022, following its acquisition by HYBE.

"We wholeheartedly welcome the artists of SM Entertainment, beloved by fans worldwide, to join Weverse," stated Choi Joon-won, CEO of Weverse Company, in a press release.

As part of this transition, Kwangya Club is scheduled to conclude its services on September 11. However, SM Entertainment's artists will continue to be available on bubble, a platform operated by SM Entertainment's subsidiary, Dear U. Bubble offers a monthly subscription-based service that allows users to engage in one-on-one messaging with their favorite artists, provided they subscribe to the platform.

This strategic collaboration between two major forces in the K-pop industry is expected to reshape how fans interact with and support their favorite artists, further strengthening the global K-pop community.
