The older we get, the farther away the romance fades away. We enjoy romance in times of storm and gale (of life), but the older we get, the more we compromise with reality. Eventually, we realize that romance was a dream of our youth.
Are traces of romance like sparks left somewhere in our hearts?
I sometimes ask myself silly questions about romance. In fact, romance may be a matter of the will, not a form of existence.
The reason why I am looking for romance again may be that I am trying to overcome the reality that has reached the limit, or it may be that it comes from the human nature who seek freedom as if in a dream.
I think romance is a celebration of rainbow colors and various chromatic colors scattered all over the place.
Romance makes us forget the pain of reality and heals our wounds. In addition, romance excites us in the form of imagination and freedom and makes us dream beautiful dreams.
As Immanuel Kant said, “Love is a feeling,” romance is also a feeling. So, romance should be drawn in the form of abstraction as far as the feeling goes.
I digitally painted my feeling with a combination of primary colors and various colors, and based on it, I added acrylic and oil pastels.
"About Romance" is my work that embodies my dream in an abstract and figurative way.
