Kim Woo-seok, a former member of boy bands UP10TION and X1, is set to hold his first solo concert on May 27, according to an announcement made by his agency TOP Media on Thursday. The concert, titled "Kim Woo Seok Asia Fancon 2023: [The Siren]," will take place at the New Millennium Grand Theater in Konkuk University, eastern Seoul.
The title of the concert, "Asian Fancon," hints at the possibility of additional stops in the future, although no dates or locations have been announced yet. The agency explained in a press release that the phrase "The Siren" refers to Kim Woo-seok, who will return as a captivating allurer, filling the performance with his charms.
Tickets for the concert will be made available to members of the fan club on May 2, with general ticket sales starting on May 4. The concert will also be live streamed on the online streaming platform hellolive.
Kim Woo-seok officially debuted in 2015 as a part of UP10TION and later joined X1, the final group from the fourth season of the cable channel Mnet's audition program "Produce X 101" in 2019. Although he ranked second during the show's finale, the group disbanded soon after due to scandals involving the program's producers.
Since then, Kim has pursued his solo career as a singer and actor. He is set to play a leading role in the upcoming drama "Finland Papa," which is scheduled for release on the undisclosed streaming services this April. Kim is currently taking a break from his group activities since his appearance on "Produce X 101." His most recent solo album, "3rd Desire [Reve]," was released on March 7.
