HYBE IM's upcoming online game, Dragon Blaze 2: Knights of Veda, is gearing up for a major debut at the renowned Gamescom 2023 global gaming show next month.
Gamescom, ranked among the world's top three gaming festivals alongside E3 and Tokyo Game Show, is slated to kick off in Cologne, Germany, from August 23 to 27.
Dragon Blaze 2: Knights of Veda is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG) based on the popular Dragon Blaze game, originally developed by local company Flint. HYBE IM, the gaming subsidiary of K-pop giant HYBE, made waves last year by securing a global publishing deal with Flint, which was officially announced during Korea's annual gaming show, G-Star 2022.
At the upcoming Gamescom event, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the PC version of the game firsthand at HYBE IM's booth. The game had previously showcased both PC and mobile versions at G-Star 2022, generating significant excitement among gaming enthusiasts. Although an official release date has yet to be announced, Dragon Blaze 2: Knights of Veda is expected to hit the market before the year's end.
Among the roster of Korean gaming companies attending Gamescom, notable participants include Nexon and Pearl Abyss, although specific details about their showcased games have not been disclosed. It is worth noting that NCSoft will not be in attendance, but the global publisher for NCSoft's latest title, TL (Throne and Liberty) Amazon Games, will be present at the event.
