Gallery SP has a rich history, dating back to 1989, when it was established as the first print workshop in Korea, known as Seoul Print Work Shop. Later, in 1998, it transformed into an art gallery, and in 2006, it relocated to its present location in Sinsa-dong, Seoul. Today, the gallery is involved in the exhibition, planning, and sales of contemporary art in various media, including painting, sculpture, print, and ceramics.
Located in the bustling district of Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Gallery SP is a hub of contemporary art in Korea. The gallery features works by both established and emerging artists, both domestic and international. Its exhibitions showcase a wide range of artistic expressions and styles, reflecting the diversity of contemporary art.
Gallery SP's commitment to promoting contemporary art extends beyond its exhibition space. The gallery also hosts academic exchange programs and collaborates with institutions and galleries around the world to bring Korean contemporary art to a global audience. Its efforts have led to the inclusion of works by its represented artists in prestigious collections and exhibitions worldwide.
Gallery SP is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 am to 6 pm, and by appointment on Sundays. Visitors can experience the vibrant and dynamic contemporary art scene in Korea and explore the gallery's extensive collection of artworks.
