Local Artists and Residents Come Together for a Week-Long Celebration of Art and Harmony

The 35th Andong Art Festival is set to take place in Andong City, North Gyeongsang Province from May 3 to May 9, according to the city officials on May 1. The festival will be divided into two areas: exhibition and performance.

The exhibition will showcase 170 pieces of art, poetry, and photographs by members of the Andong Branch of the Korean Art Association, the Andong Association of Korean Writers Association, and the Andong Branch of the Korea Photographers Association. The exhibition will be held until May 9 at the Andong Culture and Arts Center gallery.

Performances will be held around Okdong 4th Park from May 6 to May 8. The Korean Theater Association Andong Branch's madang play, 'Phoenix Narsha', will begin on May 6 at 4:00 pm, followed by the opening performance at 5:30 pm. On the same day at 7:00 pm, the Korea Gugak Association Andong Branch will present '樂 2023'. On May 7 at 6:00 pm, the Korea Music Association Andong Branch will perform 'Love is Harmony'. On the same day at 7:30 pm, the Korea Entertainment Artists Association Andong Branch will host a 'K-Pop Concert'. Finally, on May 8 at 7:30 pm, the Korea Dance Association Andong Branch will perform 'Dance Story II: Permeate'.

"The Andong Art Festival, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, will serve as a platform for local artists and residents to come together in a celebration of art and harmony," said an official from the city.
