2448 Art Space has a long history, dating back to its origins as a painting and craft shop in 1981. Over the years, the space has evolved and expanded to become a hub for contemporary art in South Korea. In 1989, they opened Moon Gallery, which focuses on printmaking, and they have been showcasing the works of both domestic and international artists ever since.
With the belief that art should be accessible to all, 2448 Art Space is committed to curating exhibitions that feature a diverse range of artists, from established masters to emerging talents. Their goal is to provide visitors with the opportunity to discover new artists and to experience the transformative power of art.
The gallery is constantly on the lookout for talented Korean artists who are actively working in the field. By promoting these artists and exposing them to a wider audience, 2448 Art Space is helping to ensure that the art scene in Korea remains vibrant and dynamic.
Visitors can explore the gallery's two locations, the Main Building on Nonhyeon-ro 24-gil and Annex Building 2 on Yangjaecheon-ro. The gallery is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11 am to 6 pm, and is closed on Mondays. During the winter season, the gallery's hours are shortened from 11 am to 5 pm.
Whether you are a seasoned art enthusiast or a newcomer to the art world, 2448 Art Space is a must-visit destination in Seoul. Contact the gallery by phone at 02-554-6106/6107/6108, fax at 02-554-6109, or email at gallerymoon@daum.net.
