NC Soft is the actual leading company of 'K-Game'. It is a leading game company that has led the Korean game industry at the forefront for 25 years since the mega-hit of MMORPG Lineage launched in 1998.

However, NC Soft is a latecomer in console games. Although it is famous as a world-class game company, it has yet to release console games.

Console games using game devices such as Xbox and PlayStation are forming a huge market in traditional game powerhouses such as North America, Europe, and Japan.

In this situation, NC Soft challenged the console platform for the first time. As if putting together the "last puzzle," "TL (Thron and Liberty)," which is being developed for the console platform, the only area that NC Spft has yet to conquer, has been unveiled.

NCsoft announced its challenge to the console market on the 27th (Korea Standard Time) by releasing a TL preview video with CEO Kim Taek-jin and a large number of major developers attending.

It is not common for CEO Kim Taek-jin to announce his new work when NCsoft releases it. CEO Kim usually announces new strategically important games himself. This means that the company has different expectations and meanings for TL.

In his first public video, CEO Kim introduced the authentic MMORPG "TL," which is scheduled to be released next year, saying, "We developed it with the goal of "Play for All" that everyone can enjoy."

Also, CEO Kim said, "MMORPG is a game with no fixed path. It is a world where anyone can make and enjoy various stories in their own way. "That's the world of TL," he explained.

TL has a very high degree of freedom like the famous role-playing games in North America and Europe. This is the result of NC's strategic choice to appeal to the console game market.

Unlike the existing MMORPG, where each floor of the building and the dungeon were divided into separate spaces, TL connected all spaces into one space. The topography can also be configured in three dimensions to directly design the player's own movement path.

Also, the world in the game changes day and night over time, and the weather changes. It is not just a visual effect, but it changes the terrain and ecology.

The battle also broke away from the rather static battle of Lineage or Aion. These games are NCsoft's representative game IP. The battle depends on the weapon choice, and the action of switching two types of weapons to suit the situation or defending the attack at the right time is adopted.

NC is planning to release TL in the first half of next year. Global game companies are watching the company's move to see if NC will be able to stand as a global leader who successfully launched as "TL" and has mega-hit products on all platforms such as PC online, mobile, and console.
