Another large art fair will be held at the same time as the Korea International Art Fair (Kiaf), the largest international art fair in Korea, and the global top art fair 'Frieze Seoul' in September. The exhibition title is 'K-ART FAIR (KAF)'.
'KAF', which will be held at the InterContinental Hotel in COEX, Seoul (10th to 12th floors) from September 1 to 4, introduces about 2,000 Korean artworks with 70 galleries in 82 rooms.
There will also be a special exhibition of top 6 artists in their 20s and 30s, selected through a public contest, and an exhibition where you can appreciate the new works of 9 artists selected as ‘K-ART POWER’.
A special exhibition by Kim Won-geun, a sculptor who has already become famous, and a special exhibition by Tansan, a rising young artist, will also be held.
KAF's catchphrase is 'a passage to the world art market'. In other words, KAF was designed for the globalization of Korean art. It can be called a satellite fair in that it is held at the same time as famous art fairs at home and abroad.
A KAF official said, “We made it easy for art lovers to visit Seoul, as well as world-famous galleries to find this exhibition space. The viewing time has also been extended until 9 pm, so please look forward to it.”
