Artist Jong-yong Yang's solo exhibition, 'Moss(이끼)' will be held in Seoul.
Yang has been engrossed in painting moss-related paintings for the past decade or so. In the exhibition, he will showcase new works related to Moss and his artistic values that have been further developed and deepened.
The artist put values in his paintings that value daily relationships. He explains the philosophy of his lifestyle by using moss, a material that permeates life without being too noticeable.
Harmony between nature and life, and the energy of natural but special life are the minds that Yang considers important in his creation. He felt an attitude of life that was not biased anywhere in the characteristics of damp and dark moss.
Gwang-ki Lee, the representative of Gallery KKI, who planned the exhibition, said, "Artworks of moss serve as a healing to touch the inner roots in an endlessly fluctuating and intemperate reality." and added, "I hope visitors to the exhibition will learn about moss's open mind for the end of the year.".
The exhibition will be held at Gallery KKI located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul from the 8th to January 6th next year.
