Rising K-pop group TWS (Tours) has celebrated their first debut anniversary by giving back to the community. On January 22, the Community Chest of Korea (known as "사랑의 열매") announced that TWS had donated proceeds from their November release campaign, fulfilling their earlier promise to contribute to society. The funds, raised from the sales of Kakao emoticons designed by the group, will be directed toward providing school uniforms for underprivileged teenagers.

The emoticon campaign coincided with TWS’s comeback single "Last Bell" and marked the group’s innovative approach to engaging their fanbase, known as “42.” By involving fans in this creative endeavor, TWS not only strengthened their connection with their audience but also inspired meaningful contributions to a charitable cause.

The Community Chest of Korea expressed gratitude for TWS’s altruistic gesture, stating, “We are deeply thankful to TWS and their fans for sharing joy and making a positive impact. We will do our best to ensure the donation is used effectively to support those in need.” This act highlights the group’s growing influence beyond music, emphasizing their commitment to social responsibility.

Debuting in January 2024, TWS has quickly risen to prominence. Their debut track, "The First Meeting Never Goes as Planned", soared to the top of the 2024 Melon Annual Chart, establishing them as one of the year’s most impactful newcomers. Their follow-up title track, "Last Festival," received critical acclaim for its innovative sound and emotional depth.

The group’s first fan meeting, "2025 TWS 1st Fan Meeting: 42 Club in Seoul," set to take place from February 14 to 16 at the Olympic Park Handball Stadium, has already sold out, reflecting their dedicated fanbase’s unwavering support. The event will celebrate the milestone anniversary with fans while further solidifying the strong bond between the group and their supporters.

TWS’s decision to donate in honor of their anniversary underscores the symbiotic relationship between artists and fans in the K-pop industry. By channeling their success into initiatives that benefit marginalized communities, the group exemplifies the positive influence that celebrities can have.

Their fans, 42, have not only supported TWS’s musical journey but have also become integral to their philanthropic efforts, showcasing the potential of fandoms to contribute to meaningful societal change. With their music, innovation, and community-centered mindset, TWS is carving out a legacy that transcends entertainment.

As the group prepares for their next chapter, their actions reflect a commitment to uplifting others, making their first anniversary a celebration of both artistic achievement and the power of giving back.
