Doyoung, a member of the K-pop supergroup NCT, is poised to release his debut solo album titled "Youth" on Monday at 6 p.m. This marks his first solo endeavor, following the footsteps of fellow NCT members Taeyong and Ten. The album, comprising 10 tracks, showcases Doyoung's vocal prowess and aims to capture the emotions and experiences of youth.
During a recent group interview at SM Entertainment headquarters in Seoul, Doyoung reflected on the past year, which included releasing three albums and embarking on a world tour as part of NCT. Despite facing challenges, such as filling in for Taeil during his absence due to injury, Doyoung expressed readiness for a solo debut.
"Youth" features two songs with lyrics penned by Doyoung himself, including the opening track "Beginning," which portrays his journey as a soloist. Reflecting on his songwriting process, Doyoung noted the importance of telling his own story, which he believes contributed to the acceptance of his songs by the company.
In discussing the album's message, Doyoung emphasized the theme of cherishing happy memories amidst the passage of time. He hopes to convey this message to listeners as they navigate their own journeys through youth.
