In a triumphant moment at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2023, JYP Entertainment's girl group NiziU secured the Best Pop Video award for their titular track "Paradise," featured on their 5th single album and serving as the theme song for "Doraemon the Movie." This accolade marks their third win at the prestigious event, having previously received the Best Dance Video award in 2020 for their pre-debut single "Make You Happy," and the Best Buzz award in 2021, which recognizes artists who have significantly impacted the music industry.
The official award presentation is scheduled for November 22, where NiziU will also grace the stage with a performance. MTV Video Music Awards Japan, the Japanese counterpart of the renowned American video music awards, has been held annually since 2002. Notably, NiziU, currently active solely in Japan, is set to make their debut in South Korea with the release of their single "Press Play" on Monday.
