KBS has announced the upcoming premiere of its new romantic comedy series "My Heart is Beating," starring singer and actor Ok Taec-yeon. The series will debut in June and features a unique storyline revolving around Seon Woo-hyeol, a half-vampire, half-human character who failed to become fully human after a hundred years.
When Seon moves in with Joo In-hae, a heartless high school nurse played by Won Ji-an, the two characters begin to develop feelings for each other, bringing warmth into their lives. The show explores the personal values that make our hearts beat and allows viewers to follow along as the characters experience passion and excitement.
"I was drawn to 'My Heart is Beating' because of the personal values it explores that make our hearts pound," said Ok. "I hope viewers enjoy watching the characters experience this passion and excitement for themselves."
The series also features actress Yoon So-hee as Na Hae-won, a wealthy real estate investor who becomes involved with Seon after he mistakes her for his first love for her.
"My Heart is Beating" is a 16-part series co-led by Lee Hyun-suk, who co-directed the 2021 period romance series "The King's Affection," and director Lee Min-soo, who previously led the 2022 short series "The Stranger." With its unique premise and talented cast and crew, "My Heart is Beating" is set to become a must-watch for fans of romantic comedies and fantasy series alike.
