볼펜 한 자루로 그려지는 극사실주의 작품, 오스카 우코누

'Oscar Ukonu' an Hyperrealist painter from Nigeria draws astonishing paintings with just a single ballpoint pen which is ordinary and commonly used around us.
He is famous for drawing realistic figures close to photographs with inexpensive ballpoint pens containing blue ink.
Oscar began painting on his own when he was about nine years old, and later developed his own style through various experiments while studying architecture.
He finally chose this ordinary ballpoint pen as his main painting tool to produce his works in 2014.
The modles of the artist are mostly black people who are influential in Africa or who are active all over the world.
He's not just painting realistic art works, but throwing a lot of messages about social problems.
He revealed his view on art, "In the inscreasingly international world, I cosntantly explore my identity and pride as a black person and ideas surrounding reality in Africa."
Meanwhile, the artist expressed his opinion that it takes about six weeks to draw a painting, and that he considers this time to be a "paitient practice".
