(G)I-dle is poised to make a triumphant return with their second studio album, scheduled for release on January 29, according to an announcement from Cube Entertainment on Monday.

The upcoming album, titled "2," follows the group's sixth EP, "I Feel," which was released approximately eight months ago. Notably, it has been nearly two years since their debut full album, "I Never Die."

The sixth EP, "I Feel," made an impressive entry onto the Billboard 200, securing the 41st position. In its first week, the EP sold over 1.16 million copies, setting a record for the group and ranking as the fourth-best for a K-pop girl group at the time. The focus track, "Queencard," made waves across music charts in their home country.

Adding to their achievements, (G)I-dle made a mark in the US music scene with their first EP, "Heat," released in October. The EP reached No. 25 on the Billboard 200, further solidifying their presence on the international stage. In December, the quintet participated in Jingle Ball 2023, a prominent year-end music festival in the United States.

As fans eagerly await the new album, the logo motion clip for "2" was unveiled, featuring the transformation of the letter "i" into the numerical representation of the album title. This creative preview adds to the excitement surrounding the group's latest musical endeavor.
