WeMade is moving quickly to expand the ecosystem of blockchain-based game platform WEMIX.

 

WeMade is implementing various projects one by one without shrinking even though WEMIX, which plays a key role in its blockchain game ecosystem, was expelled from Korea's four major cryptocurrency exchanges late last year.

In a general blockchain ecosystem, if the main coin is suspended from trading at the core exchange, the virtuous cycle structure of the economic system will collapse and related businesses will be greatly shrunk.

However, despite such unfavorable conditions, WeMade is showing its potential to implement the results of projects that have been promoted to expand the WEMIX ecosystem one by one.

Above all, WeMade recently on-boarded 20 additional new games in WEMIX. The newly added games include the real-time strategy defense game "Infinity Party Battle", the port trade game "Venezia Story", and the collective RPG "Robelia". WeMade's flagship game "MIR-M" will be on-boarded at the same time as the global market launch on the 31st of this month.

WEMIX is the world's largest global open blockchain game platform with about 9 million cumulative subscribers. In this situation, the onboarding of 20 new games and global hit games, MIR-M, means that the WEMIX ecosystem has expanded significantly.

In particular, the company will integrate the economic systems of MIR4 and MIR-M, two major game games representing the company, into one with the key currency, WeMix. It is called the "intergame economy". It is unusual to integrate the economic system of two games into one with a specific cryptocurrency.

In addition, WeMade has been actively trying to be listed on the global exchange as an alternative since it was removed from the four major exchanges in Korea, and WEMIX began trading on the global cryptocurrency exchange "Bitmart" in New York on the 17th of this month. As a result, the number of games on board on WEMIX has increased to 80.

BitMart is a global exchange that maintains the top 20 trading volume (based on CoinMarketCap) as of last year. The exchange was created by experts from Wall Street and has more than 9 million users in more than 180 countries.

A senior WeMade official said, "the final goal of listing on WEMIX is Binance." Binance is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange recognized by others. If WEMIX is traded on Binance, it will be a decisive opportunity to further increase WEMIX users worldwide.

WeMade is increasing its investment in the Middle East and North Africa to implement a complete globalization strategy for its WEMIX business. The company recently established a local subsidiary called "WEMIX MENA" in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for its blockchain business. It is also seeking to establish a separate corporation in Saudi Arabia.

UAE and Saudi Arabia are expected to play an important role in spreading WeMade blockchain business around the world in the future, focusing on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

MENA is a place that has recently sent love calls to Korean companies to expand the field of economic cooperation with Korea, focusing on blockchain, digital assets, and cultural contents led by K-pop.

In particular, major countries in the MENA region are interested in blockchain and digital innovation projects. Business ecosystems based on blockchain technology and virtual asset services are also coming up with bold policies.

The MENA region is expected to provide many opportunities for WeMade, which is speeding up its global strategy. WeMade officials also said, "it will be a strong momentum for expanding the WEMIX ecosystem in the Middle East and Africa."

The company's stock price, which fell to the KRW 28,000 level in December last year as several projects that WeMade has been pushing to strengthen the WEMIX ecosystem, recovered to KRW 38,000 on the 17th. The stock price has soared more than 30% in less than a month.

Wemade will participate as a diamond sponsor for the second consecutive year at the GDC(Game Developers Conference)2023, the world's largest game developer conference held in San Francisco on March 20. Through the keynote speech at the GDC Summit, Jang Hyun-guk, CEO of WeMade, plans to introduce the advanced ecosystem built based on WEMIX and overall blockchain game technologies such as NFT and GameFi.

Experts in the Korean blockchain and game industry said, "WeMade's executives' strong will and efforts to make WEMIX successful are turning the company from crisis to opportunity. We are looking forward to how the WEMIX ecosystem will develop and change in the future".
