Oh My Girl, the beloved K-pop girl group, has made a grand comeback as a complete unit after a year and four months with their ninth mini album, "Golden Hourglass." The album title, a fusion of "golden time" and "hourglass," symbolizes the band's resolve to seize the present and shape their destiny as they embark on a new chapter of their musical journey.

During a press conference in Seoul, Hyojung, the group's leader, explained the profound meaning behind the album's title. "Just as the sand in an hourglass never goes back up once it's gone down, we want to convey the message that we will create our own golden time by turning the hourglass, because our golden time is now."

With "Golden Hourglass," Oh My Girl aspires to shine as a "light" that ushers in a fresh wave in the K-pop landscape. The members expressed their desire to forge ahead as K-pop idols at their own pace while embracing their distinctive musical identity.

Known for their mystical and lyrical music style, Oh My Girl's latest EP features six mesmerizing tracks, led by the enchanting title track "Summer Comes." The song explores the magical feeling of butterflies fluttering upon hearing the voice of a loved one. Yubin, one of the members, emphasized that the title track highlights the vocal strengths of all the members, creating a powerful synergy that enhances the single.

The music video for "Summer Comes" was a cinematic spectacle, with the group being chased by zombies. Mimi shared that the presence of realistic zombies from the Netflix series "All of Us Are Dead" added an unexpected thrill to the filming process.

Amidst their flourishing musical careers, some members have also ventured into acting and solo music releases, broadening their creative horizons. Mimi, in particular, has garnered attention for her role in the popular entertainment show "Earth Arcade" on tvN, and she expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans.

The album also features a heartfelt fan song titled "Miracle," with all members contributing to the lyrical composition. Expressing their deep appreciation for their fandom, Miracle, the members poured their emotions into the song, making it a poignant tribute to their devoted supporters.
