Late Singer Wheesung’s Family to Donate Entire Funeral Donations

The family of the late singer Wheesung has announced their decision to donate all funds collected from his funeral to a meaningful cause. His younger sibling released an official statement through Tajo Entertainment on March 17, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring Wheesung’s legacy continues to have a positive impact on society.
The family stated that they plan to consult with experts to determine how to best allocate the funds. "We will carefully discuss with professionals in the relevant field to find a sustainable and meaningful way to use the donations," they said.
The message also included deep gratitude toward those who attended Wheesung’s funeral. "Many colleagues and fans came to bid him farewell, ensuring that he did not leave this world alone," the statement read.
Reflecting on Wheesung’s musical journey, the family expressed their desire to preserve his artistic legacy. "Despite facing numerous hardships, he never let go of his passion for music and continued to create beautiful songs. We sincerely hope that his works will continue to be remembered."
Wheesung was found deceased in his residence in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, on March 10. His funeral and burial services took place on March 16 at Seoul Samsung Medical Center, and he was laid to rest at Gwangneung Memorial Park.
The bereaved family concluded their statement with heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed support during this difficult time.
