The Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles successfully organized the APEC 2025 Korea Cultural Night on the evening of October 28 at Zipper Hall, Colburn School in downtown Los Angeles. Under the direction of Director Haedon Lee, the event brought together six of the 21 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member countries to celebrate cultural diversity through traditional performing arts.

The participating nations included Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Thailand, and Korea, each showcasing their unique traditional performing arts on stage. The cultural exchange event was specifically designed to celebrate the upcoming APEC meetings scheduled to take place in Gyeongju, Korea, highlighting the significance of international cooperation and cultural understanding among member nations.

Prior to the main performances, each participating country set up cultural exhibition booths featuring a wide variety of interactive activities and displays. These booths provided attendees with hands-on experiences and deeper insights into the rich cultural heritage of each represented nation, creating an immersive multicultural environment for all visitors.

The event drew a distinguished and diverse audience, including Consul General Youngwan Kim, Director Haedon Lee of the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles, diplomatic representatives and consuls from various participating countries, local Los Angeles residents, and active members of the Korean-American community. The gathering created a meaningful opportunity for cross-cultural dialogue and appreciation.

Attendees were treated to high-level traditional Korean arts performances alongside the cultural presentations from other APEC member nations. The evening provided a platform for cultural diplomacy and fostered stronger relationships between the international community and local residents, demonstrating the power of arts and culture in bringing people together across different backgrounds and nationalities.
