K-Pop Soloist Jungkook Makes Waves with Multiple Hits, Tying Records

Jungkook of BTS has secured additional achievements on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, solidifying his status as a successful K-pop soloist. According to an announcement from his agency, Big Hit Music, two of his songs recently entered Billboard's Hot 100 main singles chart for the week dated November 4. His latest collaboration, "Too Much," featuring Kid Laroi and Central Cee, made its debut at No. 44. Furthermore, his solo single "3D (Feat. Jack Harlow)" continued to climb the chart, holding the No. 75 spot for its fourth consecutive week and marking an increase of 18 positions from the previous week.

This recent success has brought Jungkook's total count of Hot 100 hits to five, tying the record for the most songs by a K-pop soloist on Billboard's primary singles chart. Notably, Psy had previously achieved this feat with songs like "Gangnam Style," "Gentleman," "Hangover," "Daddy," and "That That (Prod. & Feat. Suga of BTS)."

Jungkook first made his solo debut on the Hot 100 in February 2022 with "Stay Alive (Prod. Suga of BTS)," which was featured on the original soundtrack for the BTS web comic "7Fates: Chakho." He later re-entered the chart with the song "Left and Right" by Charlie Puth, which reached its peak at No. 22.

In July, his official solo debut, "Seven (Feat. Latto)," achieved the remarkable feat of topping the Billboard songs chart, making Jungkook the first K-pop solo singer to reach this milestone. The song continued to maintain a position within the top 100 for 13 consecutive weeks.

His subsequent release, "3D," soared to No. 5 upon its launch in September, setting a record as the first Korean artist to have two songs in the Hot 100's top five.

Jungkook's latest solo venture, "Too Much," was released on October 20. The song, featuring Australian singer-songwriter The Kid Laroi and British rapper Central Cee, was accompanied by a music video.

Additional members of BTS also achieved notable accomplishments on various Billboard charts. V's "Layover" secured its place on the Billboard 200 main albums chart for the seventh consecutive week, maintaining its position at No. 160. Jimin's solo album, "Face," reached No. 12 on the World Albums chart.

Jungkook, the youngest member of the K-pop group BTS, is set to release his first solo album, "Golden," on Friday. This 11-track collection features collaborations with renowned global music talents, including Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, DJ Snake, and David Stewart, who produced BTS' hit song "Dynamite."
