Jinjin of Astro, under agency Fantagio, released a digital single titled "Fly" on Thursday, commemorating the one-year anniversary of Moonbin's passing. The single, part of Jinjin's project "Jin Lab," was co-written by the band's leader and Moonbin, whose vocals are also featured.
Moonbin, who debuted as a member of Astro in 2016 after a career in acting as a child, passed away at his home in Seoul last year. His sister, Moon Sua of Billlie, took a hiatus following his death, while bandmates Cha Eunwoo and Sanha accompanied her on a trip during that period.
In addition to Jinjin's solo release, Astro released a special single titled "Circles" in February. The song, written and produced by Jinjin, commemorated the group's eighth anniversary and aimed to reassure fans of their continued journey together.
