Chun Kyung Ja's 100th Birth Anniversary Revived Through Daughter Sumita Kim's Exhibition

A special exhibition commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of South Korea’s prominent artist Chun Kyung Ja has been opened.
The memorial exhibition for Chun, who passed away at age 91 in 2015, has been unveiled in her hometown of Goheung, South Jeolla Province.
The exhibition was curated by Chun’s second daughter, artist Sumita Kim, who expressed her intention to dedicate this exhibition to her mother.
This exhibition serves as a retrospective of Chun’s work, as well as a heartfelt tribute from her daughter, Sumita Kim.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see 58 of Chun’s paintings, along with personal artifacts and archival materials from her 70-year-long artistic career.
