Hello, I’m art consultant ReaAJung of SayArt.
This summer has been very hot and humid. To make you guys cool, I will review YeonhwaHur’s SWIMMING TIME.
I hope you have chill time with SWIMMING TIME. SWIMMING TIME is Yeonhwa Hur’s 6th solo exhibition at Gallery Minjung. This exhibition’s main theme is WATER, which is Hur’s interest for long time. Through paintings and sculptures, Yeonhwa Hur wants to show a sense of water when we swim.
She shows the sparkle of water, rolling surface of water, echo in swimming pool, excitements of summer vacation and senses of #summer through her works. With these elements viewers can experience eidetic sense of water. Yeonhwa Hur focused on the process of water’s physical properties convert into emotional and psychological properties. Especially, the space of gallery looks like summer because of organic connection between paintings and sculptures. Well-Lit gallery makes harmony with Hur’s works.
I want jump into the canvas that is the painting of diving woman. I hope you feel the summer and water through this exhibition.
Yeonhwa Hur exhibited not only solo exhibitions, but also many group exhibitions. Also, her works are included in collections few museums.
Through Yeonhwa Hur SWIMMING TIME, I felt like I was near the sea.
It’s sad that the exhibition is closed, but I hope you feel cool and hot summer through my youtube.
I will be back with other review. Bye!
