The Seoul Design Foundation‘s new media art exhibition, with the theme, ‘Designing Life at the Universe’, is currently showing at DDP. Under the title of ‘Backpacking to the Universe’, the exhibition features the artworks of five next-generation artists who will lead the future of media art.
Prior to the ‘SEOUL LIGHT Media Art Exhibition’ in December, where the 'Journey to Imagining Cosmic Life' will be held on the wall of 222m DDP wall, ‘Backpacking to the Universe’ exhibits the artworks that experimentally interpreting the process of preparation for cosmic life.
Projection mapping and sound artworks by young Korean media artists Kohuiand Z1, and 3D digital artworks by Oh Soo-Hwan, ZEEN, and BYEONKI at the T-OLED media wall all contain different creative interpretations of everyday life in space.
“Starting with <Backpacking to the Universe>, visitors will continuously meet the artworks of next-generation's media artists who will lead the future at DDP, spaceship-like architecture,” said Rhee Kyung-Don, representative director of Seoul Design.
‘Backpacking to the Universe’ will run from Nov. 1 to Jan. 29, 2023, at DDP DesignLab1F Media ArtGallery, T-OLEDMediaWall. Admission is free and reservations are not required.
