H Art ENT, the acclaimed exhibition organizer, is set to host the 'Beautiful Gift Exhibition,' a testament to the world of modern art, at the ALT.1 Gallery on the 6th floor of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido. Running from September 22 to October 15, 2023, this exhibition brings together a stellar lineup of Korea's artistic maestros, including Park Seo-bo, Lee Ufan, Park Suk Won, Kim Kang-yong, Hyung Koo Kang, and Lee Lee-nam. In a pioneering collaboration, actress Kim Heeseon, marking her 30th debut anniversary, will be the artistic content director for this innovative venture, her first project of its kind.
The show is curated by none other than actress Kim Heesun, creating an art-tainment masterpiece by melding the best of traditional and popular art legends.
Spanning a grand exhibition space of 930㎥, each artist has a dedicated area, showcasing a total of 130 artworks. These pieces embody the emotive power of scent, the vibrant energy and wavelengths of color, and the rejuvenating gifts of nature, each aligning with the artist's unique concept.
Park Seo-bo reflects on the reasons for repetitive actions, while Lee Ufan seeks to gift a moment of solace to those weary of daily life's pace. Park Suk Won presents the distinctive beauty of Hanji, while Kang-yong Kim explores hyper-realistic bricks for visual pleasure. Hyung Koo Kang imparts the gift of self-image beyond a mere self-portrait, and Lee Lee-nam breathes life into classical paintings.
Director Jeong Na-yeon, the mastermind behind this innovative exhibition, shares, "It was a unique and incredibly fulfilling experience. I spent three years working with Director Kim Heeseon, and I couldn't help but be amazed by how she's remained a legend in pop culture for 30 years. She's got this genuine and down-to-earth vibe that lets her break down barriers, and she's left an unforgettable mark not just through her acting skills but also through her deep respect and dedication to art and her craft. Every moment we spent planning this exhibition felt like receiving a beautiful and unforgettable gift."
Director Kim Hee-seon expressed her gratitude, stating, "I've made it this far thanks to the incredible love and support I've received from countless people over the past 30 years. Their unwavering encouragement has been my driving force as an actress."
She highlighted the exhibition's significance as a gesture of gratitude, a token of love to all who supported her throughout her journey. She hopes that many will partake in this exhibition and find profound happiness in the experience.
This exhibition is open to all, free of charge, inviting everyone to immerse themselves in the world of art.
