K-pop girl group Le Sserafim has been appointed as ambassadors for the NBA, announced by their agency Source Music on Friday. Following in the footsteps of BTS's Suga, who became an ambassador in April 2023, Le Sserafim is the second K-pop act to promote the league in the Asia-Pacific region.
Selected for the NBA's "Friends of the NBA" program, Le Sserafim will collaborate with the league, influencers, and celebrities to expand the NBA's presence in the Asia-Pacific region. As part of their role, the members will attend NBA games and events, participate in promotional activities, and feature in exclusive content on the NBA's social media platforms.
Tammy Henault, the NBA's chief marketing officer, praised the partnership, highlighting Le Sserafim's embodiment of youth, dynamism, and genuine passion for the NBA. She emphasized the significance of the collaboration in uniting NBA and K-pop fans globally.
Further details regarding Le Sserafim's activities with the NBA will be provided at a later date, with updates available on the group's page on the NBA's official website.
