The Recording Industry Association of Japan announced on Friday that Seventeen's best-of album, "17 Is Right Here," has been certified platinum, signifying 250,000 shipments in the country by the end of April.
Released on April 29, the compilation album quickly gained traction, surpassing 29.6 million copies sold within its first week. Notably, "17 Is Right Here" secured the top spot on Oricon's Weekly and Weekly Combined album rankings, further solidifying Seventeen's status as an international powerhouse with a record-breaking 12 chart-topping albums.
In a simultaneous release, the "hip-hop team" of Seventeen, comprised of members S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, and Vernon, unveiled a music video for "Lalali," one of the tracks featured on the album. Plans are in place to subsequently release music videos for the other sub-unit tracks, "Spell" and "Cheers to Youth."
