Gerhard Richter, a leading German artist and master of contemporary art who is considered to have made a new mark in painting, will hold a new exhibition in London.
The exhibition will be the first time for the artist to showcase his work in London since he announced his masterpiece in December 2022. Previously, he made his debut at David Zwirner Gallery's New York branches last spring.
Through this exhibition, the artist reaffirms the exploration of the art world that he has continuously expanded and his commitment to the formal and conceptual possibilities of abstraction.
The artworks that will be showcased at the exhibition are juxtaposed with paperwork that has gained new importance in Richter's artworks. The artist created the artwork with a combination of various materials, including ink and pencil, ranging from black-and-white to chromatic art.
In addition, he will present a new collage group for the first time, creating a formal and conceptual basis for the Farbtafel (Color Chart) painting, which was first introduced in the 1960s.
The exhibition will run until Mar. 28 at the DZ Gallery in London, England.
