Starting from November 8, Park Seo-Bo's exhibition 'The Newspaper Ecritures, 2022-23' will be held at White Cube in New York.
This exhibition will showcase the works created in newspapers, which were among the artist's final pieces before his passing.
The series of works in the exhibition combines the publication dates of the newspapers with the artist's dynamic oil painting techniques.
The artist, who began the 'Ecriture' series in the late 1960s, created works based on Taoist and Buddhist philosophies as well as Korea’s traditional calligraphy culture.
Through the works, viewers will have the opportunity to explore the themes of time, space, materiality, and the artist's broader artistic vision.
