NewJeans has been featured in Variety magazine's "Young Hollywood Impact Report," marking their recognition as emerging stars.
In an article published this Wednesday, Variety highlighted NewJeans as one of the “next gen stars” who made a significant impact in the realms of film, television, music, theater, and digital media over the past year.
The publication praised the group as “total K-pop darlings,” emphasizing their achievements such as recurring appearances on the Billboard Global 200 chart, surpassing 4 billion streams, and securing major partnerships with brands like Coca-Cola, Apple, and Levi’s—all within just over two years of their debut.
NewJeans is the only K-pop girl group included on the list, alongside boy band Ateez.
Additionally, NewJeans has earned a nomination at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards for “Super Shy,” a track from their second EP Get Up, in the Best K-Pop category. Last year, they were also shortlisted for Group of the Year.
