In a remarkable display of its enduring popularity, the debut solo track "Seven" by BTS member Jungkook has firmly maintained its place on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the fifth consecutive week.
The latest chart data unveiled on Friday (local time) revealed that "Seven" continues to make its mark, securing the 24th position this week, thereby rising a notch from its standing in the previous week.
Originally released on July 14, the sun-soaked pop anthem, featuring the collaboration of American female rapper Latto, burst onto the scene by making its debut at an impressive No. 3 on the chart later that same month. In subsequent weeks, the track experienced fluctuations in ranking, briefly dropping to 13th and 29th positions before surging once again to No. 25. In this current iteration of the chart, "Seven" has reasserted its dominance by securing the 24th spot.
Concurrently, the K-pop landscape continues to make its presence felt on the British Official Singles Chart. The hit single "Super Shy" by K-pop girl group NewJeans managed to maintain its place within the chart's ranks, holding onto the 77th spot for the sixth consecutive week. Notably, this position marked a slide of 14 places from the previous week's standing.
Further emphasizing the genre's resonance, K-pop girl group Fifty Fifty's track "Cupid" has demonstrated remarkable staying power, extending its presence on the chart for an impressive 21 consecutive weeks. This week, the track occupies the 95th position.
In addition to its British chart performance, "Seven" has also made a significant impact on the global stage. The track achieved an illustrious feat by topping the Weekly Top Songs Global chart of the widely recognized music streaming platform, Spotify, for the fifth consecutive week.
As Jungkook's "Seven" continues to captivate audiences and make waves across international charts, its resounding success further cements BTS's influence and global acclaim within the music industry. The track's sustained presence on the British Official Singles Chart is a testament to its undeniable appeal and Jungkook's individual artistic prowess.
