Candy Shop, a rookie girl group under Brave Entertainment, announced on Thursday that member Yuina will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities due to health reasons, less than two months after the group's debut. The agency stated that Yuina's decision to pause her involvement aligns with her wishes and that she will not participate in future scheduled activities.
Formed with members Soram, Sui, Sarang, and Yuina, Candy Shop made their official debut on March 27 with their first EP, "Hashtag#." Notably, Yuina is Japanese, while the remaining three members are Korean.
The group's moniker, Candy Shop, reflects its mission to cater to the diverse tastes of listeners, akin to the varied selection found in a confectionery establishment, as outlined by Brave Entertainment.
In light of Yuina's temporary departure, Candy Shop will proceed with its activities as a four-member group. However, the agency has not disclosed any details regarding the addition of a new member at this time.
