Sejong Center for the Performing Arts (President An Ho Sang) achieved an extraordinary milestone with the launch of its 2025 subscription services, Subscription and Subscription Plus. The initial batch of 1,000 packages sold out on the first day of release, marking the second consecutive year of such success.

Introduced in 2024 as the first subscription service by a Korean performing arts venue, Subscription offers benefits such as a 40% discount on all Sejong Season performances and early booking privileges. For 2025, Sejong Center expanded its offerings to include Subscription Plus, allowing up to two tickets per performance, with 400 packages quickly selling out. A senior-friendly Silver Package tailored to audiences aged 65 and older also sold out within two hours of its release, demonstrating the broad appeal of Sejong Center’s audience-centric initiatives.

This achievement reflects heightened anticipation for Sejong Center's programming under An Ho Sang’s leadership, which has significantly bolstered the quality and scale of in-house productions. Audience enthusiasm was further amplified by innovative marketing strategies, including interactive experiences such as “Seongsu Pop-up,” thematic performance spaces, and unique offerings like "performances with beer."

Additionally, the recently unveiled Sejong Inspiration Series has drawn considerable interest. This initiative transcends traditional performance formats, introducing immersive events like ballet music recitals on stage, dining experiences in the grand theater lobby, and art conferences held in outdoor gardens, providing audiences with a diverse range of cultural experiences.

An Ho Sang commented, “By observing changing consumption patterns and refining our services, we aimed to enhance audience satisfaction and expand their experiences. This strong response underscores the trust and enthusiasm our audiences have for Sejong Center. We will continue to deliver impactful and high-quality productions to meet these expectations.”

The resounding success of the subscription service positions Sejong Center for a dynamic start to 2025. The upcoming Sejong Season officially begins on March 14 with the Seoul Ballet Theatre's performance of Ohad Naharin's Decadance, promising another year of exceptional programming.
