2024, Feb 16th- A special exhibition is holding inside the Baby Fair at Samsung COEX in Seoul.
There's a booth that stands out among so many parenting products. Beautiful works catch your eye.
 

More than 70 works by 12 great artists are on display at the booth hosted by SayArt.
This is the work of artist Park Gun Woo, a seven-year-old artist who started painting when he was wearing a diaper. He introduced himself as Neptune. This is because Neptune uses all seven colors consisting of red, yellow, and blue. When you look at his work, you can feel the colorful colors, purity, and infinite imagination.

When you are pregnant, you may have taken an ultrasound photo of the fetus. Unfortunately, after a long time, this photo fades and becomes difficult to recognize. There is an artist who created beautiful works of art using these ultrasound photos who wants to keep forever. Artist JIEUNO created several pieces of work after receiving an ultrasound photo of her fetus from a mother.

The title of the work is the ‘The Universe in Me’ series, and in this exhibition, T-shirts with images engraved along with several works are also available. Artist Ji Eun-oh believes that creating works using fetal ultrasound images is actually a kind of collaboration with the child coming into the world in the future. It felt like I could hear the child's heartbeat every time I created a piece. My heart swelled as I thought that the work itself was a life. “It was a moment when even my soul became pure after leaving work,” she said.

As this exhibition is specialized in childcare and childbirth, all works have been specially selected to use colors that stimulate children's vision and have a positive impact on the prenatal education of pregnant women. The main purpose of the Baby Fair so far was to simply compare and purchase childcare products, but it went further and attempted to change the idea of organizing a unique exhibition with a more expanded concept by reviving the existing exhibition but finding common denominators with art.

BeFe BabyFair was established in July 1999 and has been holding an exhibition of child care products twice a year since 2000. It is a much-loved exhibition, with an average of over 40,000 visitors visiting the past three times, and before the coronavirus, the number of visitors exceeded 90,000. Representative domestic and international brands and products related to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare are displayed, and new products and services that reflect the needs of visitors are continuously introduced.
 

The exhibition runs from February 15th to February 18th.

서울 삼성 코엑스에서 개최되는 베이비페어 안에 특별한 전시가 열렸습니다.
수 많은 육아용품 사이에 눈에 띄는 부스가 있는데요. 아름다운 작품들이 눈길을 끕니다.
세이아트에서 주최하는 부스에서는 열 두명의 훌륭한 작가들의 작품 70여점이 전시되고 있습니다.

기저귀를 찰 때 부터 그림을 그리기 시작했다는 7살 박건우 작가의 작품입니다. 그는 자신을 넵튠(Neptune:해왕성)이라고 소개했는데요. 해왕성은 빨주노초파남보로 구성 된 일곱가지 색을 모두 쓰기 때문입니다. 색이 모두 예뻐 고를 수 없다 말하는 박건우 작가의 작품을 살펴보면 다채로운 색상과 순수함, 무한한 상상력을 느낄 수 있습니다.

임신 중 이라면 한번쯤은 찍어 본 태아의 초음파 사진, 안타깝게도 오랜 시간이 지나면 이 사진은 빛에 바래지며 그 형태를 알아보기 힘들게 됩니다. 영원히 간직하고 싶은 이 초음파 사진으로 아름다운 작품을 만들어 낸 작가가 있습니다. 지은오 작가는 한 산모로부터 태중 초음파 사진을 전달받아 여러점의 작품을 만들었습니다.

작품명은 '내 안의 우주 ' 시리즈이며 이번 전시에선 몇 편의 작품과 함께 이미지를 새긴 티셔츠도 준비되어 있습니다. 지은오 작가는 태중 초음파 이미지로 작품으로 만든다는 건, 사실 앞으로 세상에 나오는 아이와의 일종의 협업이라고 생각합니다. 작품을 만들 때마다 아이의 심장박동 소리가 들려오는 듯했습니다. 작품 자체가 하나의 생명이라 생각하니 심장이 벅차오르기도 했죠. 작업을 떠나 영혼마저 순수해지는 순간이었어요"라고 전했습니다.

이번 전시는 육아와 출산에 특화된 전시인 만큼 모든 작품은 아이들의 시각을 자극하는 색채, 임산부 태교에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있도록 특별하게 선별되었습니다. 그 동안의 베이비페어는 단순하게 육아용품을 비교하고 구매하는 것이 주 목적이었지만 더 나아가 기존 전시를 살리되 미술과의 공통분모를 찾아 더 확장 한 개념의 독특한 전시를 꾸리는 발상의 전환을 시도했다는 점에서 더 특별합니다.

베페 베이비페어는1999년 7월에 설립되어 육아용품 전시를 2000년부터 매년 2회 개최 해 오고
있습니다. 지난 3회 평균 4만명 이상의 관람객들이 방문했으며 코로나 이전에는 방문자 수 가 9만명이 넘기도 했을만큼 많은 사랑을 받는 전시회 입니다. 국내외 임신, 출산, 육아관련 대표 브랜드와 제품들이 전시되며, 관람객의 니즈를 반영한 신제품 및 서비스들이 지속적으로 선보여지는 전시입니다.

전시는 2월 15일부터 2월 18일까지 진행됩니다.
