"Wonderland" has topped the domestic box office, attracting more than 82,000 moviegoers as of Wednesday, according to the Korea Box Office Information System (Kobis).
On its premiere day, "Wonderland" surpassed the previous top film, "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga," which had approximately 36,000 admissions. As of Thursday morning, over 91,000 reservations have been made to watch "Wonderland."
Directed by Kim Tae-yong, the film stars Tang Wei, Suzy, Park Bo-gum, Jung Yu-mi, and Choi Woo-shik. "Wonderland" explores themes of grief and loss through an AI service that allows people to reconnect with their lost loved ones via video call simulations.
