BTS member Jungkook has once again made waves on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 songs chart with his latest single, "3D." Featuring American rapper Jack Harlow, this sophomore solo single debuted at an impressive No. 5, marking Jungkook as the first K-pop septet member to achieve multiple top 10 hits on the Hot 100 with solo projects.
Released on July 29, "3D" is an R&B pop song intricately weaving together themes of longing and desire for an unattainable person through the lens of different dimensions. The Hot 100 rankings are determined by a blend of streaming figures, radio airplay, and sales data, showcasing the song's widespread popularity.
According to Billboard, "3D" has amassed 13.6 million streams, garnered 3.1 million in radio airplay audience, and sold a combined 87,000 physical and digital copies. Additionally, the track secured a No. 1 position on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. songs charts, marking Jungkook's second solo success on these global platforms after "Seven," featuring Latto.
This achievement is a testament to the individual prowess of each BTS member, with all seven having appeared on the Hot 100 chart with solo songs. Earlier in April, Jimin made history as the first K-pop soloist to debut at No. 1 with "Like Crazy." As a group, BTS has also soared with 10 top 10 hits, including six No. 1s.
"3D" made its mark on the British Official Singles Chart as well, securing a position at No. 5. Both "3D" and "Seven" will be included in Jungkook's eagerly anticipated debut solo album, "Golden," slated for release on November 3, further solidifying his position as a global music sensation.
