2022 Global Entertainment Expo to Be Held at KINTEX Ilsan on November 11-12

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold the 2022 Global Entertainment Expo in Hall 10 of KINTEX 2 in Ilsan on November 11-12, 2022, in collaboration with Korea Entertainment Producer’s Association to support overseas market advancement and resources recruiting.
The Global Entertainment Expo features the industrial value of K-Pop, influencing over the world, to provide business opportunities. This Expo helps economic effects of the industrial aspect and support the Korean entertainment businesses. The 1st Global Entertainment Expo held last year was participated by Korean and foreign entertainment companies from various sectors and recorded four business agreements and investment consulting cases reaching a total of USD 16.756 million.
This year’s Expo will showcase 71 participating companies and 273 booths. Diverse stakeholders including platform businesses, broadcasting technology firms, and local governments as well as entertainment companies will create and seek new business opportunities, and buyers from 11 countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Thailand will attend online and offline business matching sessions.
The two-day Expo will also feature seminars on diverse themes including “Entertainment ESG Management Strategy” and “NFTs Connecting Reality and the Metaverse.” The seminars will serve as venues to discuss the latest issues in the entertainment industry. Experts from the industry’s leading businesses, such as SM Entertainment, NAVER, TikTok, and Twitter Korea, and members of tech firms, such as IPXHOP, DAWINKS, MEFLEX, and MSUC operating NFT business, will join the seminars.
The Recruit Zone will be operated for job seekers interested in landing jobs in the entertainment industry. Leading entertainment companies such as SM Entertainment and
BIG OCEAN ENM will join the Recruit Zone, and their members will operate one-on- one counseling sessions for prospective employees. Through the Recruit Zone, job seekers will have opportunities to better understand the industry and secure employment by gaining insights into entertainment companies and asking questions on required skills.
K-Pop idol groups will also present performances and showcases at the Dream Stage featuring the latest ICT. AB6IX, YOUNITE, and EPEX will perform on November 11, and GOHST9, KINGDOM, and fromis_9 will take the stage on November 12. Guitarist Jang Haeun will also give a performance, Thai idol group XI will present a showcase, and the K-Pop cover dance stage will be held.
