Internationally acclaimed actor Lee Byung-hun and his wife, Lee Min-jung, celebrated the arrival of their second child on Thursday, marking a poignant moment in their 10-year marriage.

The announcement came from Lee Byung-hun's agency, BH Entertainment, which confirmed the good health of both the mother and the newborn. Despite a hectic schedule filming the highly anticipated Netflix Original Series "Squid Game 2," the actor reportedly provided support to his wife on the day of the birth. 

▲ Courtesy of BH EntertainmentThe couple, recognized as a power couple in the Korean entertainment industry, had their first son, Joon-hoo, in 2015, two years after their marriage in 2013. The second pregnancy was revealed in August, with Lee Min-jung sharing moments from her pregnancy journey on her Instagram account.

During his acceptance speech for Best Actor at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards on Nov. 24, Lee Byung-hun expressed his excitement about the imminent arrival of their second child, affectionately referred to as "Birdie" as a pre-birth nickname.

Both Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung have successfully balanced their personal and professional lives. Lee Min-jung, after nearly a decade away from the screen, returned with the movie "Switch" in January and hosted the ENA entertainment program "Dr. Oh's Game" earlier this year. Meanwhile, Lee Byung-hun showcased his acting prowess in August's disaster-thriller film "Concrete Utopia" as Young-tak, the leader of a group of residents from a surviving apartment complex.
