Recently, rumors surrounding 'Promise Nine's potential transfer to Big Planet Made Entertainment gained significant attention, but the reports have now been confirmed as false. On the 17th, Big Planet Made Entertainment issued a brief statement to Dispatch, saying, "The reports of 5 members of Promise Nine transferring to our company are completely unfounded."
Promise Nine, a nine-member girl group formed through the 2018 Mnet idol audition show Idol School, had been a prominent name in the K-pop industry. In 2022, member Jang Gyu Ri transitioned to acting, leading to the group's reorganization into an eight-member team. Since 2021, Promise Nine had been signed under Pledis Entertainment, continuing to build their fanbase and release several hit songs. However, with their contract with Pledis officially ending on December 31, 2024, there has been growing curiosity regarding their future activities.
The members of Promise Nine have consistently shown a strong desire to continue their activities, maintaining close interactions with their fanbase. Despite this, it appears that continuing as a complete group may prove difficult. Industry insiders have revealed that five of the members have reportedly been in discussions with several companies, though no concrete plans or details have been disclosed regarding their future steps.
Fans continue to speculate about the group's future, with some wondering if these members will embark on independent ventures. While the exact direction is still unclear, the announcement has sparked an ongoing debate within the K-pop community.
