The K-pop sensation, mimiirose, is gearing up to make its triumphant return with fresh music slated for release on September 15, as announced by its agency Yes Im Entertainment on Monday.
The upcoming release marks a significant milestone for the girl group, as it will be their first music drop in nearly a year since the debut single "Awesome," which resonated with fans upon its release in September of the previous year.
The unveiling of the "coming soon" teaser on Monday offered a tantalizing glimpse into the group's imminent comeback. The teaser depicted a sealed plastic bag suspended against a backdrop of soft pink, adorned with an array of stickers. The stickers ranged from delicate flower bouquets and lipsticks to contrasting elements such as a pistol and a baseball bat. According to the agency, these visuals are intended to provide a tantalizing glimpse into mimiirose's multifaceted and intense concept, alluding to an intriguing musical direction.
Comprising five members, mimiirose made its dazzling debut in the year 2022, instantly capturing the attention of the K-pop scene. The girl group holds a special distinction as the inaugural girl group under Yes Im Entertainment, co-produced in collaboration with the agency Totalset. The tagline "Im Chang-jung's girl group" followed the members, as the acclaimed singer-songwriter Im played a pivotal role in the group's formation and creative direction.
The very name "mimiirose" is symbolic, representing a fusion of the repetitive Chinese character "mi," signifying beauty, with the essence of a blooming flower. As anticipation mounts, fans and industry insiders alike eagerly await the group's imminent musical offering, which is poised to unveil a fresh and captivating musical narrative.
