Debut Album Achieves Commercial Success and Critical Acclaim

Gramophone featured Lim on the cover of its May issue, hailing him as an "exceptional musician" with a "refreshing willingness to confound expectations."
Lim rose to prominence after becoming the youngest winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2022, achieving this feat at the age of 18. In October of the same year, he signed an exclusive recording contract with Britain-based label Decca Classics.

Pianist Yunchan Lim's inaugural album, "Chopin Études," released under Decca Classics, secured the No. 1 position on Billboard's traditional classical music album chart for the second week of May. Additionally, it topped Official's Specialist Classical Chart for the period of April 26 to May 2. The album also ranks as the second most streamed album by a Korean artist on Apple Music.
Since its release on April 19, "Chopin Études" has sold over 10,000 copies domestically. Korean retailer Yes24 reported it as the best-selling album from its release date until April 25.
